The four month long wait is finally over for the shoppers of the Historic Longview Farmers Market. The market's 2011 season will kick-off this weekend on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 8:00 AM in downtown Longview, TX on Cotton St. between High St. and Center St!
The market is scheduled to be open every Saturday through November 19, 2011.

The market temporarily closed on December 18, 2010 for the winter after providing East Texas residents with a bounty of beautiful fresh food and artisan products over an eight month period. To view Artemis in the City's Farmers Market Photo Gallery click here.

What is unique about this market is that it is truly a farmers market. No wholesaling is allowed. All products brought to this market are grown or made by area farmers and artists. Shoppers greatly benefit by knowing the source of their food and other products, and their patronage helps stimulate economic growth within the community by supporting local farmers and vendors.

Many of the market's well loved vendors will be returning this season along with some new vendors!

Vendors you can expect this year:

  • Aggen's Farm
  • Compton Farms
  • Cook's Nook
  • Essentially Naked
  • Fair Meadow Farm Goat Dairy
  • Flower Hill Farm
  • Greer Farm
  • Haute Goat Creamery
  • Henderson Blueberry Farm
  • Jack Roach Farm
  • J.B. Tomatoes
  • Johnny Cace's
  • Macevicius Farms
  • Moser Ranch
  • Shields Hill Farm
  • Tanksley Farms
  • Vannoy Farms

Note: This is not a complete list as more vendors will sign on as the season develops.

The success of the farmers market depends on participation from the community. Please support the farmers market by visiting often and buying the products, telling your friends and family, making a donation, buying a banner or volunteering your time to help keep it running. The Historic Longview Farmers Market is a project of Preservation Longview, a 501(c)3 organization. For more information please visit the website and follow on Facebook.

I hope to see you there!!
