Gardening is considered by Chinese Medicine to be one of the best forms of exercise that can result in a tireless body and a joyous healthy life!
Danielle has a great love for gardening which developed at a very early age. Grandparents on both sides of her family owned small farms with beautiful vegetable gardens. Spending time with her grandparents on their farms gave her the opportunity to experience the wonders of gardening and eating freshly grown food. By the time she was a teenager she was growing her own small gardens in her family's backyard which included such vegetables as corn, squash, eggplant, peas, peppers and tomatoes. While attending the University of North Texas, she studied botany and later bought a home in Arlington, TX where she began growing many different varieties of flowers. During this period of time Danielle was also focused on overcoming fibromyalgia, connective tissue disease and a host of other health issues. Gardening served as an additional therapeutic method that brought enjoyment and peace of mind during a very difficult time of transition and healing. In 1998, Danielle relocated to New York City where she lived for 10 years in an apartment without a yard or much room to grow anything. Upon her return to her hometown of Longview, TX, she has been able to get back to her love of gardening! All flowers on this website were grown and photographed by Danielle.
